Vaginal dryness occurs when the tissues in the vagina are dry, thin, and not well-moisturized.

Vaginal dryness is rarely a sign of a serious medical condition. But seek a medical consultant if you experience discomfort during sexual intercourse or notice sores, cracking, or bleeding in the vaginal areas.
